Installation, repair and re-keying of locks
Deadlocks, padbolts, security locks, digital locks, commercial locks, door closers, cabinet and desk locks, window locks… we can install a variety of quality locks to your home or office. After discussing your security needs, we will make a recommendation taking insurance requirements and fire regulations into account. Re-keying of your existing locks may be required when your keys are stolen or lost, or you have moved into a new home. We can also ‘key alike’ your existing locks, to allow you to open all your locks with one key.

Individually Keyed SystemWith an individually keyed system, each lock can only be opened by its own individual key. |
|
Keyed Alike SystemThis system allows for a number of locks to be operated by the same key. It is ideally suited to residential applications such as front and back doors. There is no limit to the number of locks which can be keyed alike. |
Restricted Key Systems
A restricted key system allows control over the number of keys issued. It is ideal for businesses because only an authorised person of your business will be able to request extra keys. All keys are stamped with a key number and engraved with our contact details, so they are easily traced back if lost and found by someone else. A restricted key system is also ideally suited for master keying.
Master Key Systems
A master key system means each lock has its own individual key which will not operate any other lock in the system, but all locks in the system can be operated by one master key. See the table for a graphic explanation of possible combinations.
|
Master Keyed SystemA master keyed system is one where each lock has its own individual key which will not operate any other lock in the system, but where all locks in the system can be operated by one master key. |
|
Grand Master Keyed SystemThe grand master keyed system is an extension of the master keyed system where each lock has its own individual key and the locks are divided into two or more groups, Each group of locks is operated by a master key, and the entire system is operated by one grand master key. |
|
Maison Keyed SystemThis system is widely used in apartments, flats, office blocks, hotels and motels. Each apartment, flat or office has its own individual key which will not operate the lock to any other apartment, flat, hotel room or office, but will operate the locks to communal entry doors and other service areas. |
